about

This is the song on this album that I remember the least how I came to love it. I remember about 10 years ago hearing a fairly uninspired cover in industrial club and being reminded of the original, which I must have heard when I was little.

Much as Careless Whisper isn't really about dancing, I believe this song is about letting a partner go be with other people and trusting that if it's right, he'll come back. (So, so far, songs about vampires, pirates, and dancing are actually about sex.)

The original has such a great early electro sound, and clearly there's already an industrial club hit of this song, so I felt it was appropriate to make my version entirely out of cello and voice.
