about

This is a Sisters of Mercy song. Not one you're likely to hear played at clubs, but an album track that grabbed my attention when I was 16, first developing my bitter attitude toward love while noticing the power of new attractions.

I've been doing a piano-based cover of this for years, and in fact sang it with a guitarist for the talent night of a school program I did in Cambridge England the summer I was 16, but I decided to fully orchestrate it for Uncovered and for live performances. Sometimes people bellydance to it live, and it is good.

"I can wait a long, long time before I hear another lovesong"
