Riders on the Storm

about

Ooph it has been a rough month. But I have THREE tracks for you and this one is actually done today.

This is good news for you: I am aiming to make 3 tracks every month this year! Some of them will be remixes and collaborations. Unlike my Patreon, the cost of your subscription is the same however many tracks I make. My income was negative last year and I've been slacking on outreach and losing patrons, because I've only been able to do the actual production work (the only part of my job, practically the only part of my LIFE that I'm not burnt out on), hence committing to making 3 tracks a month this year which gets me more $$ on Patreon. Many will be collaborations I'm very excited about; this month it's a reworking of something I covered over 20 years ago...

This Doors cover won this month's popular vote on my Patreon, by a landslide! I was feeling bored of some of my usual sounds so I made some experimental sonic choices with this and I think they amp up the psychedelia in a really pleasingly sinister way.

Actually, I think my whole life I've been seeking Pleasingly Sinister Psychedelic Aesthetics, so I should pat myself on the back for occasionally achieving them.

You'll get two more songs before the end of the month, but if you want to wait until Friday to download those, they will also be on a tiny EP that will be posted for Bandcamp Friday along with one older track you've probably already heard, and you'll get access to that release
automatically. I would love if you could share that release and if you're able, include a little note about why you enjoy subscribing to my music.

Thank you so much for your support, seriously
-Erica
