In Search Of My Rose

about

've been wanting to cover this Tear Garden song for YEARS and finally did it, as a kind of apology for the other song which makes fun of polyamorous people. When the original song gets played at goth clubs, all the nonmonogamous people I know immediately hit the dance floor. Aural flagging. I didn't want to try to imitate the characteristic drums so there are no drums, though there's some percussive notes here and there. There's a bit in the middle that I made up, because the original song only has one verse, and one night I was very stoned working on it and I came up with the "oooh, ooh, am I calling you?" part, and sometimes I feel like my most important job is to add things to songs, and not everyone is going to like that, but someone is if I do.

I am not 100% happy with the mix on either of these but I have to get dressed to go play a private party now, so there we are.

Thank you for sticking with me this year!

Happy new year everyone!
