I love this song a lot but never thought I’d cover it — it’s been covered to death, and I love a lot of the covers that already exist.

But then on my birthday I found myself thinking, how can I make some music that no one wants to hear, so it won’t feel like work? And I pulled out my slightly broken family heirloom small accordion, and started riffing on this (mostly) 2-chord song. Then I decided to record it.

Every sound on this, including percussion except the kick drum, was recorded by me. (I have a semi-plan to buy myself a kick & snare foot drum set but haven’t had time to call the people yet.) The mix is a bit of a mess, but since it’s the 3rd track of the month, I know you’ll forgive me.
