I have to admit I was rather late to the Nick Cave party. I always liked his songs I would hear at clubs, and I knew there was a depth there worth pursuing, but it wasn't until the last few years that I really got into it.

This song in particular had always resonated with me. It was a huge reward for me then to realize how much there was to this song that I'd been mindlessly gothdancing to for a few years.

The instrumentation here is all cello and voice.
