This is the darkest track on the album. Though it ends with a major chord it may be the darkest track I've ever produced. (It's neck-and-neck with "The Out" and "Hurt," I guess.)

This is a Front 242 song. The original sounds like this: youtu.be/sx4xR296q04 I first heard it ten years after it came out, in 2003 when my friend Paul shared it with me. I instantly felt I should have written this song. I've played it acacella, I've played it on piano, I've played it with backing tracks. This is kind of a hybrid between the acacella and the backing track version.

While I was working on this version of the track in early June 2011 I was in a fantastic mood, which I suppose is what allowed me to plumb the depths. As soon as I finished I got some mildly devastating news and felt how appropriate this song was as a soundtrack of my slightly heartbroken life.
